The S6200-2RSR-HLC FAG is a stainless steel deep groove ball bearing. Stainless steel is highly corrosion-resistant. This makes stainless steel bearings suitable for environments where the presence of moisture or chemicals is a factor. These environments include the food industry, and pharmaceutical- and chemical applications. Moreover, stainless steel can withstand relatively high temperatures. However, stainless steel bearings do have slightly lower load carrying capacities compared to chrome-steel bearings.

Other than that, the characteristics of the S6200-2RSR-HLC FAG are similar to those of standard chrome-steel deep groove ball bearings. Like all single-row deep groove ball bearings, they are of simple and sturdy design. They are practically maintenance-free. Deep groove ball bearings are especially suitable for accommodating radial loads. To a lesser extent, they can also be axially loaded in both directions.
