The NUP2226-E-XL-TVP2 FAG is a single-row cylindrical roller bearing with cage. This bearing consists of a solid inner and outer ring with cylindrical rollers in a cage. This cage prevents contact between the cylinder rollers, so this bearing type can support higher speeds than full-complement cylinder roller bearings. Also, single-row cylindrical roller bearings with cages are very rigid and they can take high radial forces. As the inner and outer rings of these bearings can be easily disassembled, they are very easy to install. Applications of single-row cylindrical roller bearings include gearboxes, agricultural machinery, pumps, compressors, and electric motors.

The NUP2226-E-XL-TVP2 FAG is a single-row cylindrical bearing with NUP design. The outer ring has two rigid ribs, while the inner ring has one rigid and one loose rib. As a result, this bearing can take radial forces as well as axial forces in both directions. NUP bearings are used as locating bearings. Locating bearings locate a shaft axially in both directions.

The NUP2226-E-XL-TVP2 FAG is an X-life type cylindrical roller bearing. X-life bearings provide better performance than normal cylindrical roller bearings due to a special internal construction. Contact surfaces, steel grade and rolling bodies are of a higher quality. X-life bearings combine a higher load capacity with a longer service life. The bearings generate less heat and allow for higher speeds. Finally, X-life bearings allow for longer maintenance intervals compared to normal cylindrical roller bearings.
