Product description

The 11212 SNR belongs to the group of double-row self-aligning deep-groove ball bearings. This bearing type with a widened inner ring is a double-row bearing. Both rows are housed in a spherical raceway in the outer ring. This construction allows the bearing to be self-aligning. This means that any misalignment of the shaft relative to the bearing housing does not adversely affect performance.

These features make the 11212 SNR highly suitable for applications where substantial misalignment or shaft deflections may occur. Also, self-aligning bearings have the lowest friction of all rolling-element bearings. Even at higher speeds, there is only limited frictional heat. These bearings are capable of handling high radial loads. To a lesser extent, they can be axially loaded in both directions.

Finally, the 11212 SNR has a widened inner ring. This construction is designed for use in less demanding applications with conventional shafts. Bearings with widened inner rings have a special bore tolerance that will make (dis)assembly much easier. The inner ring has a recess on one side. This means that this bearing type can be very easily secured axially to the shaft with a pin or a locking screw.
