The impact of the coronavirus (COVID-19) is keeping the world in an iron grip. ABF strives to minimise the risk and consequences for both our staff and our customers. ABF therefore continuously observes all precautionary measures. This means that, within ABF, the guidelines of our government are strictly adhered to.
Fortunately, even in this exceptional situation ABF is able to continue its daily work. We are available as usual and we will ensure that your order is processed quickly and correctly, just as you are used from us.
To be able to inform you about further developments that may affect your order, we will show relevant updates below. We will also keep a close eye on reports from our delivery partners UPS, Schenker and TNT.

But with the restrictions coming to an end in Europe, we are able to continue our work as usual. Therefore, we won’t be regularly updating this news page any longer. The countries that are still heavily affected by the virus are in our thoughts. We wish you strength and hope you stay safe.

- We’re happy to share that our delivery partners have reduced the postal code restrictions or have removed them altogether. We sympathize with areas that are still heavily affected by COVID-19. We will continue adding updates to this page where necessary.
- UPS has informed us there are no governmental restrictions on transportation that could be relevant to our customers. Delays can still occur due to border restrictions. For more details, please visit the UPS news page.
- TNT has reported that within Europe there are hardly any postal code restrictions. There are countries within Africa and Asia where they cannot deliver, this known to us and will reflect in our ordering process. For more detailed info, please refer to their news page.
- Transportation of all goods by Schenker is not restricted by travel restrictions for most of the countries in Europe. For any potential cases of disruptive conditions, they follow their pre-defined contingency plans to ensure flows of cargo as much as possible. - Please do not enter the pick-up area with more than one person at a time.
- If you have to wait outside, keep a distance of 1,5 meters.
- It’s only possible to pick-up orders, we are not available for product advice.

- UPS announced last week that it would introduce a worldwide peak surcharge due to the coronavirus. On 12 April 2020 the rate change has been implemented. And since our systems are linked to those of UPS, the adjusted rates are immediately visible on our quotations and in the ABF online store. For more details, please visit the UPS news page.

- Schenker, as of April 1, has introduced a 7% increase in freight costs for all shipments up to and including 3,700 kg. We have passed on this change in our own transport costs on our quotations and in the ABF online store.
- TNT, as of April 5, has introduced a temporary surcharge on all international parcel and freight shipments. As our systems are linked to those of TNT, the adjusted rates are immediately visible on our quotations and in the ABF online store. For more details, please visit the TNT news page.

- From today onwards, our Pick-Up Counter will be temporarily closed. It is therefore no longer possible to pick up your products from our counter, due to higher health risks and possible consequences for our employees.
- External carriers are no longer allowed access to our buildings. All customers are therefore obligated to have their products delivered via one of our approved delivery partners.

- Neutral package: Serve your customers while avoiding physical contact as much as possible? Or stay in business even when your warehouse is closed? You have the option to choose ‘neutral package’ during checkout to send orders directly to your customer. Neutral package shipments show no sign of ABF. We hope this helps to fight the economic impact of the coronavirus for your business.

- Employees work from home if possible.
- Employees working on company premises remain in the vicinity of their own work area.
- A minimum distance of 1,5 meter between people is mandatory.
- All appointments with third parties are postponed or cancelled.
- Our Warehouse and Facility employees must wear latex or nitrile gloves.
- All devices and means of transport (forklifts, pallet trucks) must be cleaned after
use, and are used by a limited amount of employees.
- Personal advice or customer service at our Pick-Up Counter is not possible to avoid physical contact between you and our employees.
